Provincial Association of War Veterans: 1,560 typical examples of studying and following Uncle Ho

(Baonghean.vn) – That is the statistical result of the Provincial Veterans Association (CCB) in 4 years of implementing Directive 03 on "continuing to promote studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh".

Accordingly, the War Veterans Association at all levels in the province has built 599 collectives and 861 typical individuals in many fields. Especially, in implementing the movement of "joining hands and unanimity to build new rural areas".

Many war veterans have voluntarily donated land, assets, labor, and money to build roads, irrigation works, schools, and medical stations. From 2012 to 2014, the entire association had 59,257 war veterans members who donated nearly 2.9 million square meters of land, contributed more than 116,000 working days, and supported assets on land with a total value of more than 30 billion VND... to build new rural areas.

In the economic field, the Association of War Veterans at all levels has coordinated with the Fatherland Front and other organizations to mobilize resources and help each other eliminate 1,034 temporary houses. The poverty rate among war veterans decreased from 7.75% in 2011 to 4.5% at the end of 2014, of which 8 district association units basically have no poor war veterans households.
