Provincial Party Secretary gives gifts to students and poor households in Tuong Duong

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 5, a delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to students of Xa Luong Secondary School and poor households in Xa Luong commune (Tuong Duong district).

Also attending were comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of a number of provincial departments and agencies. On the side of Tuong Duong district, there were comrade Pham Trong Hoang, Secretary of the District Party Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, leaders of departments and agencies.

Xa Luong Secondary School was separated from Xa Luong Primary School in 1998. Students studying at the school mainly come from the Kinh, Thai, Kho Mu, and H'Mong ethnic groups. Since its establishment, generations of teachers have overcome many difficulties and challenges, united in one heart, and continuously studied to maintain political will and improve professional quality. The quality of the team is highly appreciated by superior leaders as well as local people, the number of excellent teachers and emulation fighters increases with each school year. The quality of students in both general and key subjects has continuously improved over the years. Thanks to that, every year, students of Xa Luong Secondary School always rank at the top in graduation exams and entrance exams to high schools.

This school year, on the first day of school, teachers and students of the school were even more happy and excited when the Provincial Party Secretary and provincial leaders visited, gave gifts, encouraged and motivated teachers and students to continue competing to study well and teach well in the new school year.

The Provincial Party Secretary also visited the school's dormitory to learn about the living conditions of the boarding students. In addition, the students were also given many valuable gifts by benefactors.
