(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of November 22, during the meeting with voters to prepare for the 15th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Duc Phoc affirmed the above when answering the question of voters of Hong Son ward, Vinh city about the reasons for Nghe An's slow economic development.

Also attending were Mr. Ho Quang Thanh - Director of the Department of Information and Communications and leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Vinh City.

Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc - along with delegates of the Provincial People's Council and Vinh City attended the meeting with voters of Hong Son ward.

At the conference, voters of Hong Son ward proposed many issues related to infrastructure construction in the area. Among them, they requested the province and Vinh city to pay attention to allocating enough capital to implement the project of the ward's administrative headquarters, medical station and kindergarten.

The electricity sector allocates funds and relocates the transformer station close to the wall of the Cultural House of Block 5; speeds up the construction progress of Le Mao Street to ensure urban aesthetics, environmental sanitation, and traffic safety.

Voters also requested that the authorities inspect, survey, and relocate the medical waste incinerator of Vinh City General Hospital because it causes environmental pollution; adjust the boundary of the tourist dike along Vinh River so that people can live in peace and renovate and build houses to stabilize their lives; and soon implement the Vinh Temple of Literature Project.

Voters also said that the construction project of the Vietinbank Nghe An branch building caused subsidence and damage to adjacent houses, so they requested the province and Vinh city to direct the investor to promptly compensate the affected households.

At the same time, it is recommended that the relevant agencies have a plan to invest in renovating and upgrading the kiosks in the West and East of Vinh market. The province also considers allowing wards and communes to sign labor contracts for security guards and janitors; policies for officials in blocks and hamlets; and solutions to end advertising and classified ads.

One issue that voters are very concerned about is that the province needs to implement solutions to accelerate economic development, solve on-site employment for workers; increase the dissemination of laws at the grassroots level; and at the same time, propose to improve the quality of the Nghe An National Assembly delegation at discussion sessions in the parliament.

At the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc directly responded to voters' petitions and assigned Vinh City to handle issues raised by voters within its authority, such as: speeding up the construction of Hong Son ward's headquarters at a new location, accordingly, all land auction money at the current ward location will be handed over to Hong Son ward to implement the project.

The Provincial Party Secretary also presented the province's solutions to resolve the rights of people affected by the construction of Vietinbank headquarters; have reasonable solutions to speed up the construction of kiosks in the West and East of Vinh market; restore order and discipline in Vinh market. Regarding the problem of the incinerator at Vinh City General Hospital, it is required to reduce the burning capacity; at the same time, choose a new location far from residential areas for relocation.

Regarding the issue of economic development of the province that voters are interested in, the Provincial Party Secretary raised the issue that if the province wants to develop, it is necessary to first change its thinking according to the motto "benefit yourself, benefit others", at the same time promote internal strength, reform policies and mechanisms to attract investment to the province.

Currently, the province is actively promoting and calling for businesses to invest to create jobs, increase income, reduce the poverty rate, increase budget revenue; striving to build Nghe An into a well-off province in the Northern region by 2020.

At the end of the meeting with voters, comrade Ho Duc Phoc said that he would synthesize voters' opinions and assign relevant sectors to resolve them; at the same time, he would send a document to the People's Committee of Vinh City and Hong Son Ward so that voters could know and monitor the process of resolving these petitions by relevant levels and sectors./.
