Great news for Facebook users in Vietnam: the video calling feature officially launched on September 23rd.

Previously, this new Facebook feature had been rolled out in some international markets but was not yet available in Vietnam. This feature is highly anticipated by the Vietnamese Facebook community because it will allow users to make voice calls with friends on the world's most popular social network.

Facebook Messenger on iOS and Android in Vietnam has started allowing voice and video calls.

This voice calling feature is currently available on both the Facebook Messenger app for iOS and Android, as well as the web-based Messenger service (messenger.com). However, users accessing facebook.com will only be able to use the voice calling feature. Testing with the Messenger app on Microsoft's Windows Phone platform showed that this feature is not yet working.

Testing the web version of Messenger showed that it works quite well. Users simply log in with their account name, select the person they want to call, and click the phone or camera button in the upper right corner of the Messenger window. Then, they select the microphone and camera (in the case of video calls) to start the call.

Users of the Messenger app on their phones can use the phone's built-in camera and microphone to make calls via Wi-Fi or mobile data.
