Nghe An provincial leaders work in Japan

(Baonghean.vn) - A high-ranking delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee is visiting and working in Gifu province, Japan from November 13-15, 2015.

At the working session, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the Delegation, thanked Mr. Hajime Furuta, Governor of Gifu Province and the leaders of Gifu Province for giving the Delegation of Nghe An Province a warm and thoughtful welcome.

On behalf of the government and people of Gifu province, Mr. Hajime Furuta warmly welcomed the delegation of Nghe An province for their visit and work, and expressed his deep gratitude to comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for giving him a sincere and warm welcome during his impressive visit to Nghe An last July.

At the meeting, the leaders of the two provinces exchanged information about each province in the recent past and believed that the event of the Nghe An Provincial High-Level Delegation visiting and working in Gifu Province this time would continue to strengthen and tighten the good friendship between Nghe An and Gifu provinces.

At the end of the working session, the leaders of the two provinces agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a solid foundation for cooperation and mutual exchange between Nghe An province and Gifu province, first of all in the fields of tourism, agriculture and investment.

The leaders of the two provinces highly appreciated the potential for friendly cooperation between the two provinces and pledged that in the coming time, they will direct the specialized agencies of both sides to make joint efforts so that this Agreement can be effectively implemented and put into practice, contributing to building a deep strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia between Vietnam and Japan.

In the immediate future, the two provinces will focus on areas such as tourism, agriculture and investment. Specifically, in terms of agriculture, Gifu province proposes short-term courses for researchers, students and businesses growing and processing agricultural products of Nghe An province.

Regarding investment cooperation, Gifu province is home to major Japanese manufacturing facilities and brands such as Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Toyota, etc. In addition, it is also famous for its large number of small and medium-sized enterprises in the mechanical engineering, manufacturing and processing of machine components, auto components, chemical industries and traditional industrial sectors such as textiles, garments, wood processing, and material recycling. These are also priority areas that Nghe An province is in dire need of attracting investment and business.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc suggested that the Governor, with his prestige and position, would help introduce investors and businesses of Gifu province to visit and learn about the investment environment of Nghe An province in the coming time and at the same time informed that from February 21-22, 2016, Nghe An province will organize the annual investment promotion conference in Vinh city, Nghe An province. On this occasion, Secretary Ho Duc Phoc respectfully invited the Governor, leaders of Gifu province and businesses of Gifu province to arrange time to attend this important event and survey and learn about the investment environment of Nghe An province.
