The accident occurred at 6:30 p.m. on December 2 at km 408 + 500 of National Highway 1A, passing through Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An.

At that time, a truck with license plate 37H 93.. carrying a full load of wood was traveling from Vinh to Cau Giat at the above location when it suddenly veered to the left of the road, knocked down a milestone, then crashed into the signboard of Luu Hong Mechanical Company Ltd. and ended up between two rows of signboards, causing the wood on the truck to spill out onto the road, severely damaging the truck.

Witnesses said: Immediately after the accident, the driver quickly called another vehicle to "rescue" the wood from the scene before the authorities arrived.
