Son Tung M-TP represents Southeast Asia at MTV EMA 2015

Surpassing competitors from Thailand, Singapore, Philippines... Vietnamese singer Son Tung M-TP entered the Asian voting round in the race for the title "Best Worldwide Act".

In Southeast Asia, Son Tung M-TP surpassed the candidates: Faizal Tahir (Malaysia), James Reid (Philippines), Nadine Lustre (Philippines), NOAH (Indonesia), Slot Machine (Thailand), The Sam Willows (Singapore) to become the artist representing this region to compete in the Asian round of the 2015 MTV EMA awards.

This award is entirely voted on by the audience on MTV's website. In 2013, My Tam also received this honor.

Son Tung M-TP could not hide his emotions when he heard the good news: "I am very happy and touched by the news that I won the Southeast Asia region. Thank you everyone for your love. I hope you will continue to support and vote for me."

From today, the male singer will compete with representatives from China/Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea to become the winner of the "Best Worldwide Act" category in Asia. This is a fierce competition as candidates from these countries always receive overwhelming support from fans. This voting round will end on October 24, the results will be announced on October 25 within the framework of the EMA 2015 awards ceremony in Milan, Italy.

The 2015 MTV EMA awards ceremony will feature performances from a host of world-famous names: Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran & Rudimental, Ellie Goulding... Ed Sheeran and former MTV Australia VJ - Ruby Rose - will host the awards ceremony. The show will be broadcast live on the evening of October 25 - local time (early Monday morning, October 26 Vietnam time) on MTV Vietnam.

The MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) were first held in 1994 by MTV Networks Europe to honor the best music videos in Europe. After 19 times held in Europe, the EMA spread to Asia and became an occasion to honor music products loved by audiences around the world.

Son Tung M-TP received support from many colleagues. On October 11, singer My Tam posted a status on her personal page calling on fans to vote for the male singer from Thai Binh. Duc Phuc, her student at The Voice Vietnam, also asked fans to vote for him. Most recently, Ha Ho also sent her congratulations and support for Son Tung M-TP on social media.
