(Baonghean.vn) - After Cam Vinh, Nghe An tea has beenThe Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) grants collective trademark protection certificates.
On the afternoon of December 7, Nghe An Tea Production and Trading Association held a ceremony to receive the certificate of collective trademark of Nghe An tea.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Currently, the whole province has 8,786 hectares of tea, of which 6,056 hectares of commercial tea are concentrated in 6 districts: Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Ky Son, Quy Hop and Tuong Duong, with an average yield of more than 14 tons/ha.
Currently, the province has 86 processing facilities with a total capacity of 527 tons of fresh buds/day. The processed tea products are mainly CTC tea (Black Tea) and green tea, mainly for export.

In the context of international integration, Nghe An tea has many opportunities to expand its market and compete equally with world tea. Therefore, Nghe An tea industry must find its own direction, approach the market and produce tea in a direction of long-term stability in quality and must affirm the tea brand.
Up to now, Nghe An tea products have been granted collective trademark protection certificate No. 247000 by the Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology), including: technical process of production, processing, labels and regulations on the use of labels.

Thus, tea is the second product of Nghe An after Vinh orange to be granted a collective trademark certificate. This is an important turning point for Nghe An tea industry in the process of building, developing, promoting and competing in the world market.
