Sunflower Festival: For children with cancer

(Baonghean.vn) - Worldwide, cancer is the second leading cause of death in children in developed countries (accounting for about 10-12.3%). According to statistics from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), there are currently about 250,000 children in the world suffering from cancer.

Every year, the number of children diagnosed with cancer increases by 160,000. In Vietnam alone, the estimated number of pediatric cancer cases per year in children under 19 years old is about 4,200.

Among those young children, there are those who have to fight not only cancer every day, but also face difficult circumstances, lack of medicine, facilities, etc. Life is already difficult, now with a serious illness, they do not have the conditions to receive adequate treatment, making the disease more and more serious.

Witnessing these tragic lives, many philanthropists and charitable organizations have actively mobilized the community to join hands to help. "Sunflower Festival: For children with cancer" is launched by ECO Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company on November 22 every year, with the aim of promoting and calling for everyone's sharing and sympathy for children with cancer and in difficult circumstances.

For each sunflower picture or model posted on Facebook with the tag #sunflowerday, we have contributed 20,000 VND to the ECO Pharmaceutical JSC fund to support children with cancer.

Participating in the "Sunflower Festival" is an act of sharing and meaningful help to children with cancer, and at the same time shows love between people.

The image of sunflowers not only promotes beauty, but also represents the light of hope, compassion and sharing of the community.
