(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 20, Vinatex - Hoang Mai Garment Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Vinatex - Hoang Mai Garment Factory in Quynh Vinh Commune (Hoang Mai Town).
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony, on the Central leadership side, there were comrade Nguyen Quang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc; representatives of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group; and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Hoang Mai Town, Quynh Vinh Commune, and a large number of people of Quynh Vinh Commune.

The Vinatex - Hoang Mai Garment Factory Project and its supporting works were built on a 31,600m2 land plot in Quynh Vinh Commune, Hoang Mai Town, invested by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group, approved by the Provincial People's Committee in 2014 with a total investment of more than 127 billion VND.
When the project is completed, it will organize the production of high-quality knitted underwear products with input materials provided by Dong Xuan Knitting Company Limited or domestic and foreign units for export to the Japanese market through trade partner Itochu.
The scale of the first phase factory is designed with a capacity of 10.58 million products/year, the entire modern and synchronized Japanese sewing equipment line. The project, when put into operation, will create stable jobs for more than 800 local workers, promote the development of services, trade, infrastructure... increase the province's budget revenue, contribute to social security and sustainable poverty reduction in rural areas of Hoang Mai Town and surrounding areas.
