Transporting 870 kg of animal products in violation of regulations

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 2, Dien Chau Traffic Police discovered a case of transporting animal products on a passenger car in violation of regulations.

870 kg of processed animal products were transported on passenger car with license plate 30 Z-7879.

While patrolling and controlling at km 418, National Highway 1A through Dien Hong commune (Dien Chau), the patrol team of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station (under the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An province) inspected a passenger car with license plate 30 Z-7879 driven by Ngo Xuan Nam (born in 1980), residing in Hong Bang District - Hai Phong City, traveling in the direction of Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City. Through inspection, it was discovered that the car was carrying 870 kg of pre-processed animal products, including organs, skin, buffalo and beef, all contained in 13 Styrofoam boxes frozen with ice.

These animal products all have quarantine certificates issued by the Hanoi Veterinary Department and are allowed to be transported on two trucks with license plates 29C-19503 and 29C-19890.

But the above animal products were transported on a passenger bus with license plate 30 Z-7879, which is against regulations. Driver Ngo Xuan Nam confessed that he was hired to transport them for 3 owners in Hanoi to Hue and Da Nang for consumption.

Dien Chau Traffic Police Station handed over all animal products to Dien Chau Veterinary Station for handling.

Currently, all of these animal products have been handed over by the working group to the Veterinary Department of Dien Chau district for handling according to the provisions of law./.
