Chinese President Xi Jinping begins visit to the US
According to Xinhua News Agency, on the afternoon of September 22, Chinese President Xi Jinping left Beijing to visit the United States and attend a series of high-level conferences of the United Nations.

Mr. Xi Jinping will make a state visit to the US from September 22-25 at the invitation of President Barack Obama.
At the invitation of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Xi Jinping will visit the UN headquarters in New York and attend a series of summits commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the agency from September 26-28.
Accompanying Mr. Xi Jinping on this visit were First Lady Peng Liyuan; Politburo member and Director of the Central Policy Research Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Wang Huning; Politburo member, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee Li Zhanshu and State Councilor Yang Jiechi./.
