113 police rescue man who stabbed himself in the stomach

(Baonghean.vn)-A man who stabbed himself in the stomach with a knife, causing serious injuries, was rescued by the 113 police (provincial police).

At around 12:45 on October 25, Police Team 113 (Provincial Police) received a report that at lane 50 Nguyen Chi Thanh street (Quan Bau ward, Vinh city) a man used a knife to stab himself in the stomach, causing injury, and did not allow his family to approach to take him to the emergency room.

After receiving the information, Police Team 113 quickly arrived at the scene. At this time, Mr. Le Dinh Chung (born in 1972, from Thanh Hoa) was injured in the abdomen, blood was pouring out, holding a knife about 20cm long, screaming, threatening to kill anyone who dared to enter the house. Ms. Pham Thi Nhan (born in 1970), Mr. Chung's wife, her hands covered in blood, was standing outside with the people trying to persuade Mr. Chung to drop the knife and go to the emergency room, but this man did not listen. Ms. Nhan said that Mr. Chung stabbed himself in the abdomen, she hugged him to take the knife out, but he threatened to kick her out or he would stab her to death.

As soon as he arrived, Lieutenant Colonel Dang Hai Trieu - Team Leader and the block officers tried to approach and persuade Mr. Chung to drop the knife. After 15 minutes of persistent persuasion, Mr. Chung agreed to use his shirt to stop the bleeding from the wound. Taking advantage of the opportunity when Mr. Chung reached out to take his shirt, Sergeant Nguyen Canh Thuong quickly took the knife from his hand and controlled the subject.

Mr. Le Dinh Chung was then taken to the emergency room in critical condition due to severe blood loss. Mr. Chung's neighbors said that recently he had shown signs of psychological instability and always thought that someone was trying to harm him. Mr. Chung's health is currently very critical, with the stab wound 5cm from the left side of his chest.

The case was then handed over to the Quan Bau Ward Police for handling. At the scene, the police seized a 20cm long knife with blood on it and took witness statements to assist in the investigation.
