On December 5, Hung Nguyen District Police said they had completed the case file to prosecute two subjects: Nguyen Viet Viet (born in 1984), residing in Lang Son commune, Anh Son district, and Phan Trong Dung (born in 1982), residing in Hung Tan commune, Hung Nguyen district, for stealing motorbikes.

Previously, from September to November, a number of motorbike thefts occurred in Hung Nguyen district, especially in crowded areas, causing public outrage. Faced with this situation, the district police leadership directed the Criminal Investigation Police Team on Crime, Economics, and Drugs to establish Project 1115 XM to combat the situation.

After a period of surveillance on November 20, Hung Nguyen District Police caught two subjects red-handed stealing motorbikes in Hung Tay Commune, Hung Nguyen District. Through investigation, the police seized 6 motorbikes as evidence from the thefts worth more than 60 million VND.

At the police station, the two suspects initially confessed that because they did not have stable jobs and were using drugs, Viet called Dung to plan to go to densely populated areas, take advantage of loopholes, and then use a pliers to break the locks to steal. The police are currently continuing to investigate and expand the case./.
