A more practical approach to Party development in schools.

(Baonghean)Over the years, the training of young Party members to strive to join the Party has been of great significance in motivating them to compete and improve themselves.To achieve that goal, each Youth Union member must truly be a role model in the emulation movement for learning and self-improvement.

From 2008 to the present, the entire Party Committee of Vinh University has admitted 3,364 new Party members, averaging 220-300 students admitted to the Party each year.

Tran Huu Dieu Ha, a student of the Faculty of Economics, Class of 2022, was admitted to the Party in 2014 at the age of 20. This motivated Ha to strive to fulfill her responsibilities as Deputy Secretary of the inter-branch Youth Union and also as a member of the Executive Committee of the University's Youth Union.

As for Bui Dinh Son, he was discovered and nurtured early on at Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City) from his first year. A top student and an active class leader, Son always strived to work with the school's Youth Union Executive Committee to ensure school security and order, while also advising on and organizing Youth Union activities; he was always a role model for all students in the school to follow. In the 2014-2015 academic year, Son received a scholarship at FPT University and was also honored to be admitted into the Communist Party.

Ms. Le Thi Phuong Lam, Deputy Principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School, said: “Over the past 5 years, the school has admitted 22 students into the Party. Each year, 10 students participate in the Party orientation class and 3-5 students are admitted. Student Party members must be truly outstanding in their studies and training.”

In accordance with Guidance Document No. 34 HD/TWĐTN - BTC dated December 31, 2013, on Party development work in schools, and Conclusion 138 of the Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union, 9th term, on some solutions to promote the campaign "Youth Union members and young people strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam," the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has considered the implementation of propaganda and education on the Party, communist ideals, and revolutionary traditions for Youth Union members and young people as a top priority.

However, Party development work in schools still faces many difficulties. Currently, only the Party committees of Vinh City, Thanh Chuong, Quynh Luu, and Nam Dan in the province have a relatively high number of newly admitted Youth Union members each year. Vinh City admitted 40 students in the 2014-2015 school year, Thanh Chuong admitted 35 students, and so on. Many units have not admitted any Youth Union members since the issuance of Guidance 34.

To achieve better results in Party development work in schools, in addition to the efforts of each student, the role of Party committees and Youth Union branches at all levels in nurturing and training is crucial. This contributes to training and cultivating a future generation that is both politically sound and professionally competent.
