More realistic in party development work in schools

(Baonghean) -In recent years, training young union members to strive to join the Party's ranks has had great significance in motivating young union members to compete and practice.To reach that goal, each young union member must truly be a role model in the emulation movement of studying and training.

From 2008 to present, the entire Vinh University Party Committee has admitted 3,364 party members, an average of 220 - 300 students per year into the Party.

Tran Huu Dieu Ha, a student of the Faculty of Economics, class 52, was admitted to the Party in 2014, at the age of 20. That urged Ha to strive to fulfill his responsibilities as Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union and a member of the School Youth Union Executive Committee.

As for Bui Dinh Son, he was discovered and nurtured early by Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City) from his first year. As an excellent student and an active class officer, Son always strives with the school's Youth Union Executive Committee to do a good job of ensuring security and order in the school, while advising on organizing Youth Union activities; always being an example for all students in the school to follow. In the 2014-2015 school year, Son received a scholarship from FPT University, and was also honored to be admitted to the Party.

Teacher Le Thi Phuong Lam, Vice Principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School, said: “Over the past 5 years, the school has admitted 22 students to the Party. Every year, 10 students participate in the Party sympathy class and admit 3-5 students. Student Party members must be truly excellent in studying and training.”

Implementing Instruction No. 34 HD/TWĐTN - BTC dated December 31, 2013 on Party development work in schools, and Conclusion 138 of the Central Committee of the IXth Youth Union on a number of solutions to promote the implementation of the Campaign "Union members and youth strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam", the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee has considered the implementation of propaganda and education work about the Party, educating communist ideals and revolutionary traditions for union members and youth as the top priority task.

However, the work of party development in schools still faces many difficulties. Currently, the whole province only has the following party committees: Vinh City, Thanh Chuong, Quynh Luu, Nam Dan with a relatively high number of school youth union members admitted each year. Vinh City admitted 40 students in the 2014-2015 school year, Thanh Chuong admitted 35 students, etc. Many units, since the issuance of Instruction 34, have not admitted any party members who are youth union members.

In order to achieve better results in the work of developing the Party in schools, in addition to the efforts of each student, the role of training of the Party Committee and the Youth Union at all levels plays an important role. Thereby, contributing to training and nurturing the future generation to be "both red and expert".
