Quy Hop: Ensuring irrigation water for 5,278 hectares of rice fields.

(Baonghean.vn) - To regulate irrigation water stably for 5,278 hectares of rice and other crops in the district, in 2015, Quy Hop district directed relevant departments and mobilized the people to participate in irrigation work.

Officials and people in Quy Hop district are mobilized to carry out irrigation work.

Thanks to these efforts, the entire district has dredged 19km of main canals and reinforced 560m of main irrigation canals; the total volume of excavation and embankment is 7,720 m3. In addition, 162.5km of inland canals have been dredged with a volume of over 18,000 m3, nearly 100km of branch canals have been dredged, and 310km of field and plot embankments have been built with a total volume of over 1.1 million m3.

To achieve the above results, under the direction of the District People's Committee and local authorities, the District Irrigation Company Limited promptly repaired leaking dams and reservoirs, regulated irrigation water appropriately, drained waterlogged crops during the winter season, and prepared the necessary infrastructure for irrigation to serve the spring crop production in 2016.
