Upon reaching Khanh Nam commune, Khanh Vinh district, it encountered the Thac Ngua bridge. Despite seeing the high water level and strong current, the driver carelessly continued driving and was swept away by the water.

Authorities used safety ropes and life jackets to approach the vehicle and bring the passengers to safety. Several witnesses reported that one passenger fell out of the vehicle and was swept away by the water.
