The 5th Vietnam Esperanto Youth Congress in Hanoi
On November 29, the 5th Vietnam Esperanto Youth Congress for the term (2015-2017) took place in Hanoi.
Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, President of the Vietnam Esperanto Association attended.
Also attending the Congress were Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai, General Secretary of the Vietnam Esperanto Association; representatives of the Hanoi Esperanto Association, representatives of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and a large number of Vietnam Esperanto youth members.

The Congress listened to a report summarizing the work of the IV term (2012-2015) and the direction of activities for the V term (2015-2017), emphasizing the importance of Esperanto.
Esperanto is a bridge of friendship and mutual understanding between nations and does not aim to replace the languages of nations. The activities of the Vietnam Esperanto Youth (VEJO) for the 2012-2015 term have achieved certain results. In the coming time, VEJO will continue to strive to carry out its tasks and develop specific action programs.
The Congress elected the 5th Executive Committee consisting of 10 members. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nep was elected as President of VEJO.
Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, President of the Vietnam Esperanto Association, congratulated the success of the Congress and expressed his belief that the new Executive Committee of VEJO will have many activities with the colors of Esperanto youth.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi awarded 3 certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2012-2015 term of the Association.
