Seized 191kg of animal organs of unknown origin

(Baonghean.vn)- At around 8:30 a.m. on October 16, the Environmental Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) coordinated with Vinh City Veterinary Station to conduct an inspection and discovered a passenger car with license plate U2-6647 carrying 191 kg of animal organs of unknown origin.

The above shipment was identified as belonging to Ms. Luu Thi Hang, residing in Hamlet 10, Nghi Phu Commune (Vinh City), who rented a passenger bus from Vinh to Laos, driven by Dinh Nho Thanh, residing in Hamlet 1, Liem Hoa Commune (Minh Hoa District, Quang Binh). Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle contained 4 Styrofoam boxes containing 191kg of animal organs hidden under the vehicle.

At the time of inspection, the owner of the goods could not present the animal quarantine certificate and the origin of the above shipment. The authorities have drawn up a record to seize the shipment for further investigation and clarification in accordance with the provisions of law.
