1. Black box from plane crash in Sudan found:

On November 10, South Sudanese investigators found the two black boxes from the Antonov AN-12 aircraft that crashed last week, killing at least 36 people. It is unclear when investigators will release the results of the black box decoding.

2. Indonesia declares it may sue China in international court:

On November 11, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Security, Politics, and Legal Affairs, Luhut Panjaitan, announced that the country may sue China at the International Criminal Court (ICC) if Beijing's claims of sovereignty over most of the South China Sea and parts of Indonesian territory are not resolved through dialogue.

After Jakarta announced its intention to sue Beijing, China stated that it does not object to Indonesia's sovereignty over the Natuna Islands in the South China Sea.

3. India launches telecommunications satellite:

On November 11th, India successfully launched the GSAT-15 telecommunications satellite from the Kourou launch site in Guyana (a French territory in South America) using the Ariane-5 rocket, one of the world's largest rockets.

4. Japan and South Korea continue negotiations on the issue of compensation for Korean women killed in the war:

On November 11, representatives from South Korea and Japan began the 10th round of working-level talks in Seoul aimed at resolving the issue of Korean women who were forced into sexual slavery for Japanese soldiers during World War II.

However, negotiations stalled when Tokyo announced it had no plans to consider South Korea's call for Japan to compensate women who were forced into sexual servitude for Japanese soldiers during wartime.

5. Terrorist bombing in Beirut, Lebanon:

On November 12th, Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, was hit by two consecutive suicide bombings targeting a bustling area in the southern suburbs, a stronghold of the Shiite Muslim Hezbollah movement, killing 43 people and injuring more than 240.

6. The US issues an order to lift economic sanctions against Liberia:

On November 12, US President Barack Obama signed an executive order lifting the economic embargo against Liberia in recognition of the West African nation's government's efforts to improve its political and economic environment.

7. The NLD party wins the right to form a new government in Myanmar:

On November 13, the Myanmar Union Election Commission (MUEC) announced that the opposition National League for Democracy (NLD) of Aung San Suu Kyi had won the right to form a new government on its own.

According to MUEC, the NLD gained 24 more seats in the Lower House, bringing its total to 348 seats in parliament, exceeding the minimum required for a majority in the 664-seat parliament.

8. The series of terrorist attacks in Paris, France:

On the evening of September 13th, at least six shootings and three consecutive explosions occurred simultaneously in Paris, killing at least 120 people and injuring hundreds more. The entire country of France was plunged into mourning. World leaders and the international community expressed outrage at the terrorist acts in Paris, while also expressing sympathy, solidarity, and unwavering support for France in its fight against terrorism. Meanwhile, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks.

9. Opening of the multilateral conference on resolving the conflict in Syria in Vienna, Austria:

On the evening of November 14th, Hanoi time, in Vienna, Austria, the multilateral conference on resolving the conflict in Syria opened with the participation of foreign ministers and deputy ministers from 20 countries, representatives of the European Union (EU), the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Before the conference opened, amidst the global shock of the attacks in the French capital, EU High Representative for Security and Foreign Policy Federica Mogherini declared that the talks on Syria in Vienna would be an effort to respond to the terrorist threat.
