From 6am, hundreds of riot police were present to maintain order in the court area. Security was tightened right from the outside. Many people were also present to secure “good positions”. Many mobile water stalls were also set up by the people to serve the attendees.
The location of the mobile trial of Nguyen Hai Duong and two accomplices in the shocking massacre of six people in Chon Thanh district, Binh Phuoc province, is a 4-hectare plot of land located in the administrative center of Chon Thanh district, next to Chon Thanh High School.
About 4,000 people are expected to attend the trial. Due to the large number of attendees, the complexity of the case, and the retrial being held in the middle of an empty lot, security needs to be tightened.

A large number of people attended the trial. |
According to the indictment, Duong harbored hatred for Mr. My's family - a wood industry tycoon in BinhPhuoc - because of his forbidden love for Le Thi Anh Linh (Mr. My's daughter). He came up with the idea of killing this man's whole family to rob them of their property. Duong invited Thoai to join and prepared the weapon. After the unsuccessful trip in the early morning of July 5, Thoai refused but still bought a knife for Duong.
Duong then persuaded Tien to support him but lied that he was here to demand the 900 million VND that Mr. My and his wife had invested in their business when they were still Linh's lovers. He promised to give Tien a portion. In the early morning of July 7, the two broke into the villa and killed 6 people, stealing phones, iPads, laptops, money... worth about 50 million VND. As for baby Na (18 months old, Mr. My's youngest child), Duong put her to sleep before fleeing.
Four days later, Duong and Tien were arrested. After a month of investigation, based on Duong's testimony, the police arrested Thoai. For this act, all three were prosecuted for two crimes: Murder and Robbery, with the highest penalty being the death penalty, with many aggravating circumstances such as: killing multiple people, killing children, killing to commit another crime, being barbaric, hooligan, and despicable.
