Thousands of people participate in "Red Sunday"

(Baonghean.vn)-On January 17, Nghe An Red Cross Society held a launching ceremony to respond to the 8th "Red Sunday" at the provincial Cultural Information Center.

Attending the event were Mr. Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee; leaders of Nghe An Red Cross Society, departments and branches, and thousands of youth union members, students and young people in the whole province.

On the same day, the 8th “Red Sunday” is being held in 18 provinces and cities across the country. The collected blood will be transferred to all hospitals in the province. With the aim of promoting and mobilizing people to understand and actively participate in blood donation, Red Sunday directly contributes more units of blood to help patients every time Tet comes and spring comes.

On the morning of its launch, the “Red Sunday” program in Nghe An collected 945 units of blood. The next voluntary blood donation session is scheduled to take place on the morning of January 27-28.
