Celebrating 50 years of establishment, receiving Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 15, in the joyful atmosphere celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20, Nam Dan 2 High School celebrated its 50th anniversary (1965 - 2015) and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

Attending and sharing the joy with generations of teachers and students were Professor, Doctor, People's Teacher Bang Tien Long - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Education and Training and Nam Dan district.

Comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, authorized by the Prime Minister, awarded the Government's Certificate of Merit to Nam Dan 2 High School.

Teacher Ho Quoc Viet - Principal of Nam Dan 2 High School read a speech reviewing the school's 50-year development tradition.

Nam Dan 2 High School was established in August 1965, after 50 years of construction, from thatched houses and mud walls, the school now has 4 spacious high-rise buildings, with synchronous teaching equipment. From 15 staff, now there are a total of 83 staff, teachers, and employees, of which 100% are qualified, 33 are masters. Currently, the school has 33 classes with 1,260 students.

Promoting the tradition of good teaching and learning of generations of teachers and students, in recent years, teachers and students of Nam Dan 2 High School have competed to improve the quality of teaching and learning, contributing to strengthening the brand of the school in the difficult land of the "5 South" region of Nam Dan district. The quality of the general and the spearhead is increasing. In the 2013-2014 school year alone, the school had 2 students win first prizes in the provincial excellent student contest in history and physics.

In the 2015 National High School Exam, many students passed the university entrance exam, including one student who scored 28 points and was commended and awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee. The school has continuously achieved the title of advanced school at the provincial level; especially in 2015, the Prime Minister awarded a Certificate of Merit to Nam Dan 2 High School for its outstanding achievements in education and training.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised the achievements of Nam Dan 2 High School over the past 50 years. He also hoped that in the coming time, the school would thoroughly grasp the Party's Resolutions, strategies and orientations for education and training development to effectively implement them, striving to develop the school comprehensively in the period 2015 - 2020. Pay attention to building a team of teachers with heart and mind, loving the profession, and implementing well the movement "Each teacher is a model of morality, self-study and creativity".

On this occasion, authorized by the Prime Minister, Mr. Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented the school with a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and a banner from the Provincial People's Committee with the words "Nam Dan 2 High School - 50 years of promoting the glorious tradition, solidarity, creativity, emulation in good teaching - good learning". The Provincial People's Committee also presented Certificates of Merit to 7 cadres and teachers of the school who have many achievements in the education and training career.
