Young man who jumped into train to save people was praised by Deputy Prime Minister

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Central Youth Union to have a suitable form of commendation for the sacrifice of Mr. Huynh Cong Buu.

On February 4, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee, issued a telegram praising the brave sacrifice of Huynh Cong Buu, 19 years old, in My Dien village, Tuy Phuoc town, Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province, to save a traffic participant.

Young man who saved people was recommended for commendation

According to the report of Vietnam Railway Corporation, at 11:30 on February 3, on the North-South railway line through My Dien village, Tuy Phuoc town, Mr. Huynh Cong Buu took action to save a pedestrian on the railway when train number SE 13 was approaching. Due to the close distance, after pushing the pedestrian safely off the railway, Mr. Buu was hit and killed by the train.

Upon receiving information about this incident, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent his condolences, expressed his condolences and admiration for Huynh Cong Buu's selfless act of saving others. The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Central Youth Union to have a form of commendation worthy of Huynh Cong Buu's sacrifice; the Traffic Safety Committee of Binh Dinh Province and Vietnam Railways Corporation to visit, express condolences and encourage Huynh Cong Buu's family, and support the family in organizing the funeral.

On the afternoon of February 4, representatives of the Traffic Safety Committee of Binh Dinh province visited, expressed condolences and presented 3 million VND to the family of Huynh Cong Buu. Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union is completing procedures to request the Central Youth Union to posthumously award the title "Brave Youth" to Huynh Cong Buu./.
