(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of February 1, Major Nguyen Huu Cuong, Deputy Chief of Vinh City Police, said that he had prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Thanh Phuong (born 1991), Nguyen Quang Cong (born 1986), Nguyen Tri Vu (born 1983), and Pham Xuan Tai (born 1988), all residing in Vinh City, for two months for disturbing public order and resisting law enforcement officers.

Le Anh Tuan (born in 1991), residing in Vinh city, was temporarily detained for disturbing public order. Nguyen Tat Thang (born in 1982), also residing in Vinh city, was temporarily detained for disturbing public order.

According to the investigation agency, on the evening of January 21, the group of Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vu, Cong, Tai and Tuan sang karaoke at the Royal Karaoke bar on Mai Hac De street (Vinh city).

While singing, Nguyen Quang Cong went out to the hallway and had a loud argument with Nguyen Tat Thang (from another group). At that time, Phuong, Tuan, and Tai came out of the singing room and rushed in to fight with Thang and one of Thang's friends.

When the security guard intervened, the two groups went out into the street, where Le Anh Tuan pulled out a revolver (a gun that shoots rubber bullets) and threatened Nguyen Tat Thang's group. Seeing that his accomplices had guns, Nguyen Thanh Phuong grabbed the gun from Tuan's hand and waved it around several times to shoot the people who had fought with him.

At this time, an unknown subject rushed forward, punched Phuong in the face, took the gun from Phuong's hand, and fired a shot that hit Phuong in the forehead, causing her to fall to the street, but she was able to get up later. The gun was then picked up by Le Anh Tuan and hidden.

Immediately after receiving the news, the 113 police dispatched 8 people with a specialized vehicle to approach the scene. Nguyen Thanh Phuong was asked to be taken to the Ha Huy Tap ward police station to work, but he yelled and cursed at the police...

The task force had to mobilize forces to bring Phuong, Cong, and Tai to the police station.

At the headquarters, instead of complying, Nguyen Thanh Phuong and a number of subjects continued to insult, push and shove the police on duty, and destroy objects at the headquarters. It took additional Vinh City police forces to go to the Ha Huy Tap Ward Police Headquarters to restore order.

“This is a serious case of disturbing public order and resisting law enforcement officers. The investigation agency will strictly handle the above actions of the group of subjects,” Major Nguyen Huu Cuong added. The subject who shot Phuong in the forehead is being actively sought by the investigation agency.

In addition to the suspect who shot Phuong in the forehead, several other subjects involved in the case continue to be investigated.
