Motorcycle market contrasts at the end of the year

The company has been floating the price difference, and has been increasing discounts to attract customers during the peak shopping season of Tet.

With nearly a month left until Lunar New Year, motorcycle shops traditionally begin preparing for the busiest shopping season of the year.

At Honda Head, the number of customers gradually increased when a series of popular scooters started to increase in price. Typically, the SH line set a new price record of 93 million VND for the new 150-color version compared to the company's announced price of 81 million VND (a difference of 12 million VND).

Having just launched a new version, Air Blade also has a price difference of about 3 million VND for each version. In particular, because the old version of Air Blade is still popular but is no longer produced, the difference is up to 9 million VND for the matte black version priced at about 49 million VND and customers do not have many color options for this version.

The remaining models such as Vision cost 33-34 million, Lead about 40-42 million. Manual transmission models such as Dream, Wave... almost do not apply price difference or if there is a difference, it is not significant.

In contrast to Honda, Yamaha has reduced prices during the peak season. Nozza has been reduced by 900,000 VND, down to 28 million compared to the announced price of 28.9 million VND. Grande has a higher reduction of 1.7 million, down to 40.3 million VND. The remaining models also have a price reduction of 1-2 million.

The company also has a test ride registration program to enhance the experience. Ms. Thu Hong, a customer, shared: "I like the shape of the newly launched Acruzo but have never used a Yamaha scooter so I am a bit hesitant. After the test ride, if I like it, I can still buy and register the car in time before Tet."

A paradox between Honda and Yamaha is the sports car segment. While Honda dealers simultaneously reduced the price of the MSX to 58 million compared to the announced price of 60 million, Yamaha showrooms applied a rather high price difference for the Camo version of the Exciter. In Hanoi, the Exciter costs 51.5 million and in Ho Chi Minh City, the price is up to 54 million (with license plate) compared to the announced price of 45.5 million.

Like Yamaha, Piaggio is also offering a discount of about 1 million for each model this time. For Primavera, the company supports customers with 100% of the registration tax.
