Stop broadcasting analog channels VTV6, H2, VTC9 in Hanoi from January 1, 2016
According to the Steering Committee of the Vietnam Television Digitalization Project, from January 1, 2016, some channels that are not television channels serving political and essential information tasks (channels VTV6, H2, VTC 9) in Hanoi will stop broadcasting.
From April 1, 2016, all remaining analog terrestrial TV channels will be stopped to encourage people to switch to digital TV viewing.

To ensure the correct implementation of the information and propaganda project on digitalization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Department of Information and Communications of Hanoi City requests that press agencies continue to provide timely, vivid and convincing information on the goals, contents, implementation roadmap and the status of digitalization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting in the city and nationwide.
Vietnam Television and Hanoi Radio and Television Station regularly and continuously broadcast at appropriate times official information about the time and roadmap for ending analog television broadcasting to switch to digital television broadcasting in the capital.
Implementing Decision No. 2451/QD-TTg dated December 27, 2011 of the Prime Minister approving the Project on digitalization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting to 2020, Plan No. 124/KH-UBND dated July 21, 2014 of the City People's Committee on information and propaganda to implement the Project on digitalization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting to 2020 in Hanoi in the period of 2014-2016, recently, the City Department of Information and Communications has issued many documents requesting press agencies to step up propaganda, raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, businesses and people in implementing the Project in the city./.
