Military Telecommunications Group gives 78 gifts to poor households in Que Phong

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 26, the Military Telecommunications Group - Viettel Nghe An coordinated with the People's Committee of Que Phong district to organize gift giving to poor households in Chau Thon commune.

In recent times, along with other localities, Que Phong district has always received attention and support from the Military Telecommunications Group Viettel Nghe An from charity programs such as: supporting breeding cows to help poor people in the border areas, hearts for children, for studious children, programs to give phones to the poor, and exchanging 2G phones for 3G phones.

On this occasion, 78 gifts including 78 prepaid mobile phones with monthly bonus SIM cards were given by Viettel Nghe An Telecommunications Group to poor households in Chau Thon commune.

Chau Thon is one of the particularly difficult communes of the mountainous district of Que Phong, 15 km southwest of the district center. The whole commune has 13 villages and hamlets with 846 households and 3,904 people. The poverty rate is still quite high, accounting for 65.41%. The intellectual level of the people is uneven, the people mainly live on small-scale farming and animal husbandry, so people's lives are still difficult.

The donation of phones by Viettel Nghe An Telecommunications Group will help poor people in Que Phong district have access to telecommunications services and useful information, applied in livestock farming and production, to gradually improve people's lives.
