MC Lai Bac Hai Dang appointed as deputy director of VTV9 channel.

According to Vietnamnet's exclusive sources, VTV has just decided to appoint director Lai Bac Hai Dang as deputy director of the VTV center in Ho Chi Minh City (VTV9 channel) from November 12th.

Lai Bac Hai Dang, born in 1979, is a former student of the Hanoi Academy of Journalism and Communication. He joined VTV at a very young age. In 2010, he left his job to study abroad in Melbourne, Australia, earning a master's degree in television.

Upon returning to Vietnam, he took on the role of director for a series of programs such as Do Re Mi, Ring the Golden Bell, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire... Lai Bac Hai Dang attracted particular attention when he served as the General Director of the program The Seventh Wish - a program with profound humanitarian significance.

However, due to failing to verify information in the program related to the street-singing couple broadcast on January 10, 2015, Lai Bac Hai Dang and the editor of the "Seventh Wish" program were disciplined and suspended from their duties.

Following this incident, in June 2015, Lai Bac Hai Dang was transferred by VTV to become the Head of the Vietnam Television Center in Hue.

Besides his work in television, director and MC Lai Bac Hai Dang is also known as the only son of journalist Lai Van Sam - a very familiar face to television viewers with many popular programs such as: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, We Are Soldiers, No Limits...

Along with director Lai Bac Hai Dang, editor and MC Hoa Thanh Tung - Head of the Youth Interaction Department of VTV - was also assigned to be Deputy Director of the Vietnam Television Center in Phu Yen.
