Prescription using lemongrass to cure diseases:

Lemongrass leaves:(Often used in combination with other medicines to treat diseases).

Treatment of bloating:Lemongrass leaves, grapefruit peel, star anise, Alisma orientalis, Atractylodes macrocephala, rush grass, each 10g; cinnamon 5g; soot, saltpeter, each 2g; musk 0.05g.

Boil all ingredients in 200ml of water for 15-30 minutes, divide into two doses per day. Should be taken after lunch and dinner. Drink within 2 days. Note: During treatment, do not eat sticky rice or salty food.

Cold medicine:Lemongrass leaves, grapefruit leaves, lemon leaves, chrysanthemum, basil or eucalyptus leaves (can add perilla, mint, and Vietnamese balm), each 50g, put in a pot, cover tightly, boil for 5-10 minutes. Take out, open the lid, cover with a blanket and steam to sweat, dry, then drink a bowl of herbal tea, cover with a blanket, and lie down to rest.

Treatment of leg edema and painful urination:100g lemongrass leaves, 50g each of scratchgrass roots, cogon grass roots or plantain flowers. Wash all, chop finely, dry, boil with 400ml of water until 100ml remains, drink twice a day. Use for 3-4 days.

Clean dandruff, smooth hair:Lemongrass leaves, basil, grapefruit leaves... each 30g, wash clean, boil with water, let it warm then wash your hair. You should wash your hair twice a week. Lemongrass roots:(Can be used alone or in combination with other herbs).

Treatment of diarrhea due to cold stomach:10g lemongrass root; 8g bear root, 8g rhubarb bark; 6g tangerine peel, 6g magnolia bark, all boiled with 3 bowls of water until 1 bowl remains. Drink while the medicine is still warm, preferably in the morning. Use within 2 days. Or 10g lemongrass root, 8g guava buds, 8g old galangal, chopped, stir-fried, boiled with 200ml of water until 50ml remains, drink after meals.

Cure cough due to flu:Lemongrass root, tangerine peel, ginger, and perilla seeds, each 200g, crushed, soaked in 40-degree alcohol (200ml of alcohol); 400g of cored and chopped fritillary bulb, dried and roasted; 200g of cored ophiopogon japonicus; 200g of honey-soaked tangerine peel, roasted until golden brown. Boil these 3 herbs until concentrated into 250ml of liquid extract. Mix the liquid extract and the medicinal alcohol. Drink 2-3 times a day, 5-10ml each time. Drink for 3 days.
