The 10th session of the 13th National Assembly took place over a month, from October 20 to November 27, in the spirit of innovation, democracy, intelligence, and responsibility, and completed the set agenda.

The session focused on law-making with 16 laws and 15 resolutions passed and opinions on 10 other draft laws. At the session, the National Assembly also performed its supervisory function and decided on many important issues of the country, such as the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2016-2020); the medium-term public investment plan, period 2016-2020.

The National Assembly decided to adjust pensions for people with pensions and disability benefits of less than VND 2 million/month and benefits for preschool teachers with working time before 1995 to receive pensions reaching the basic salary level.

The session also passed a Resolution to establish the National Election Council and the election date for the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2020 term on Sunday, May 22, 2016.
