100 poor students in Thanh Chuong receive scholarships until they graduate from university

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 14, Zhi Shan Foundation (CI) with office in Hue coordinated with Nghe An Province Children's Fund to award scholarships for the first time in 2016 to poor students in Thanh Chuong district.

This time, 100 primary school students from Thanh Son, Ngoc Lam, Thanh Tung, and Thanh Mai communes received scholarships, which are remote areas and ethnic minority areas.

Each student receives a scholarship of 600,000 VND along with 20,000 VND in Tet gifts for the Year of the Monkey 2016. The students will receive this scholarship until they graduate from university (twice a year). CI will monitor the students' growth through photos, height and weight parameters sent by volunteers through the next scholarship rounds to evaluate the effectiveness.
