Provincial leaders celebrate Tet in Nghi Loc district

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 31, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to a number of agencies, units, policy families, and especially poor households in Nghi Loc district.

Also attending were representatives of the Provincial Police, Provincial Military Command, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Health, District Party Committee, and People's Committee of Nghi Loc district.

At the District Police and Military Command of Nghi Loc District, after listening to the unit leaders' summary report on the 2015 activities and the 2016 direction and plan, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son acknowledged the efforts of the armed forces units in stabilizing the political situation, security and order, and wished officers and soldiers a happy and peaceful Lunar New Year.

Next, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son visited 3 units under the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, which are the Nursing Center for Seriously Invalid Soldiers and the Nursing Center for Mentally Invalid Soldiers (located in Nghi Phong commune) and the Social Labor Education Center 2 (Nghi Yen commune).

At the war invalids nursing centers, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son kindly visited the war invalids and acknowledged the efforts of the staff in performing well the tasks of treating, caring for, and nurturing those who sacrificed part of their blood and bones to protect the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that nursing centers for war invalids need to organize well the activities to celebrate Tet and welcome spring, regularly visit and encourage to bring warm feelings and joy to war invalids who stay to celebrate Tet.

At the Social Labor Education Center 2, after giving gifts to the staff, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son visited and talked with the students undergoing compulsory drug rehabilitation at the Center, encouraging them to continue their efforts in treatment, rehabilitation, work, and vocational training to reintegrate into the community.

At Nghi Loc District Hospital, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son presented gifts to the staff, doctors, hospital employees and seriously ill patients being treated at the Emergency Resuscitation Department.

On the same day, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son visited two families of pre-uprising cadres: the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lam (89 years old, 69 years old in the Party) in hamlet 11, Nghi Thinh commune and the family of Mr. Vo Van Dao (94 years old, 70 years old in the Party) in Long Tan hamlet, Nghi Khanh commune.

After kindly inquiring about health and family circumstances, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his respect and gratitude for the contributions of pre-uprising cadres to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, and wished that their families would have a warm Tet holiday and continue to be a shining example for the younger generation to follow.
