Nghi Loc: More than 100 people were screened for tuberculosis

(Baonghean.vn) - As part of a series of activities in response to World Tuberculosis Day, March 24, Nghi Loc District Medical Center organized screening for tuberculosis in communes in the Southeast region of the district.

People in the southeastern communes of Nghi Loc district are examined for tuberculosis right at the commune health station.

In the morning, more than 100 people from 3 communes of Nghi Xuan, Nghi Phong and Phuc Tho were clinically examined, 42 suspected cases had 2 sputum samples tested.

In 2015, Nghi Loc District Medical Center screened nearly 700 people for tuberculosis, thereby detecting and treating 176 tuberculosis patients, reaching 117%.
