February 24, 2016 14:46

The beauty born in 1995 shared that she does not choose a man who says sweet words to women like the comedian, but prefers a man who is quiet and calm.

- In the movie "Taxi, what's your name" by director Duc Thinh, you co-starred with comedian Truong Giang. How do you feel about your co-star?

- Duc Thinh's film has very few actors. In it, Truong Giang and I play the main roles, acting together from beginning to end. I have always liked Truong Giang through his plays, so when we acted together, we were very happy and excited. He is a serious actor, always trying his best and not half-heartedly - in this respect, he and I are similar, so we work very well together.

- Do you and Truong Giang have any memorable memories during the working process?

- Perhaps because I was the youngest in the crew, Mr. Truong Giang always showed me thoughtful care. I remember the days of filming in Da Lat the most. When I was cold, he gave me his warm coat. When I sat down, he also gave me his chair. He always kept an eye on the "youngest" of the crew, making everyone pay attention and tease me. In the last days, I had to film a scene where I fell into a lake in the cold weather of 11 degrees Celsius. I had to film this scene over and over from 11 am to past 5 pm, my body was freezing, my teeth were stiff, and my body was shaking. Mr. Truong Giang encouraged me a lot so that I could overcome myself and complete this scene well.

I think Truong Giang is a very attractive man to women, sweet and skillful. Whoever is his girlfriend will surely be pampered and taken care of very carefully.

- How attractive is a man like Truong Giang to you?

- I really like Truong Giang, but it's just a brotherly love. If I were to choose a lover, I'd prefer someone who is quiet, calm and has a masculine appearance.

Angela Phuong Trinh (right) and Truong Giang have many romantic scenes in Duc Thinh's new film.

- Who do you love now?

- I haven't loved anyone for over a year. Strangely, when I was younger, I was busy with love affairs, but now at the age of 21, I've put love affairs aside and focused on my career. Last year, I was invited to act in two films, and my work was so much and hard that I didn't have time to love anyone. I believe I'm still young, so I just do good work and live well, and it's not too late to love later.

Not only did I change my perspective on love, I also found myself changing a lot in my lifestyle. Before, I used to go out a lot, not leaving the house made me feel sad and uncomfortable. Now, after work, I like to sit and drink coffee with close friends, then go home to rest and relax. I no longer like crowded, noisy places. I also don't feel interested in showing off. Since I don't have a boyfriend anymore, I spend less on luxury goods. Before, when I had a boyfriend, or went to many events, I also received luxury gifts. Now, I mostly use my own money, so I appreciate money more and spend it more carefully.

- Where do these changes come from in you?

- I was lucky to meet friends and brothers who sat together and helped me realize the waste of my youth and artistic abilities if I kept chasing after frivolous things. To be honest, now I don't want to dress too sexy, I don't want people to mention me with scandals anymore. Before, every time there was a scandal in love or work, I would collapse, be sad, and have to try to pick myself up. Therefore, I want my image to be better in the eyes of the audience. I just wish I could turn back time so that I wouldn't make "shocking" statements or get involved in unnecessary love scandals.

Participating in two films Taxi, What's Your Name and Bodyguard, Miss and the Fool (directed by Viet Anh), I was paid a very high salary. With such a worthy salary, I was able to focus completely on my role.

- How does the change in perception affect your life?

- I feel that when I change myself, people around me also look at me differently and respect me a lot more. My parents are very happy to see my new image. When my mother goes out, people tell her: "Your daughter is so beautiful these days, very discreet". My mother comes home and tells me to maintain my current image. Seeing my family proud of me, I am very happy, because before, there was a period when my parents quarreled with each other just because of my scandal. In the near future, I will try my best to keep no bad rumors from happening to me.
