Nghe An arrested 740 criminals and law violators

(Baonghean.vn) - This is an outstanding result of the police force at all levels after more than 1 month of implementing measures to ensure security and order before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2016.

In order to ensure security and order before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2016, in the past time, the police of units and localities have resolutely and synchronously deployed solutions on all aspects of security and order work, contributing to stabilizing the political security situation in the area, not allowing the formation of "hot spots" and complicated incidents that cause loss of security and order.

In just one month (from December 16, 2016 to January 15, 2016), the police of all units and localities discovered and arrested 419 cases, 740 criminals and law violators. Of which, 67 cases were investigated and solved, 107 criminals were arrested and prosecuted; 92 cases were discovered and arrested, 321 were gamblers; 87 cases were discovered, 99 were drug criminals.

In addition, the police force also discovered and arrested 85 cases, 96 subjects committing crimes and violations of regulations on management of positions and the environment; 82 cases, 110 subjects illegally buying, selling, transporting, storing, and using fireworks; 06 cases, 07 subjects illegally transporting, storing, and trading explosives, confiscating many exhibits, assets, and goods worth more than 2 billion VND.

In particular, the police force has arrested and mobilized 29 wanted subjects, including 09 dangerous and especially dangerous subjects; successfully solved many famous cases, which received public attention, commendation and praise from the Party Committee, government and people (such as the murder case in Hoang Mai Town, the elimination of professional theft gangs in Vinh City...), contributing to stabilizing the security and order situation before Tet.
