President meets with outstanding union officials and members receiving Ly Tu Trong Award

On the morning of March 25, at the Presidential Palace, President Truong Tan Sang met with a delegation of outstanding union officials and members receiving the 2016 Ly Tu Trong Award.Nghe An is honored to have 2 grassroots youth union secretaries considered for this award.

The President and outstanding union officials and members received the Ly Tu Trong award.

The Ly Tu Trong Award is a noble award of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union presented to district-level Youth Union Secretaries, grassroots Youth Union Secretaries and exemplary Youth Union members with outstanding achievements in studying, working, working, in Youth Union work and youth movements.

Over the past 11 years, 886 outstanding union cadres and members have been recognized and are still considered capable, intelligent, enthusiastic cadres who have actively contributed to the implementation of political tasks in the locality. Many comrades are holding key positions in Party and government agencies at the grassroots level.

This year, from 228 applications from 67 provincial, municipal and affiliated unions, the Award Selection Council selected 85 outstanding delegates to receive the 2016 Ly Tu Trong Award, including 67 male delegates, 18 female delegates; 25 delegates are district-level Youth Union Secretaries, 55 delegates are grassroots Youth Union Secretaries and 05 delegates are union members; 08 delegates are ethnic minorities.

Listening to the delegates' proposals and recommendations on solutions to overcome difficulties and improve the effectiveness of the Youth Union's activities, President Truong Tan Sang assessed that these are examples of the youth's spirit of initiative, creativity, overcoming difficulties, striving and excelling in work, and excellently completing the tasks of the Youth Union and the youth movement.

The President hopes that individuals receiving the Ly Tu Trong Award will continue to promote their talents and youthful enthusiasm, actively share and disseminate experiences in all aspects of work to promote the strong development of the emulation movement among young people nationwide.

The President presented a symbol to the typical individual receiving the Ly Tu Trong award.

The President requested the Central Youth Union and all levels of the Youth Union to actively summarize practices, especially typical youth models, from which to draw lessons for replication, contributing to improving the quality of Youth Union work and the youth movement. The Youth Union cadres must combine the development of programs and resolutions with supervision and good organization of implementation to bring about the highest efficiency.

Affirming that the Party and State always promote the role of youth, make good use of young talents, and are ready to promote and appoint young and capable officials to join hands with the Party and State in international integration, President Truong Tan Sang hopes that generations of Vietnamese youth need to have ideals, be more proactive in establishing themselves and their careers, and contribute more to the cause of building the homeland and the country./.
