Provincial Party Secretary presents gifts to poor households in Chau Ly commune, Quy Hop

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 31, a working delegation of the province led by comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and presented gifts to 10 poor households living in Chau Ly commune (Quy Hop).

Accompanying the delegation on the Nghe An provincial leadership side were comrades Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Huu Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee Organization Committee, representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors. On the Quy Hop district leadership side were comrades in the District Party Committee Standing Committee.

Visiting and presenting gifts to 10 poor households, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that in the coming time, the Party Committee, local authorities and enterprises should join hands and contribute to help poor households in Chau Ly commune in particular and Quy Hop district in general. In addition, poor households themselves also need to work hard to produce and save to build a prosperous life.

Previously, within the framework of the visit and work in Quy Hop district, comrade Ho Duc Phoc and the delegation visited the provincial historical relic Choong Temple, built during the Later Le Dynasty - 15th century, currently located in Choong village, Chau Ly commune, Quy Hop district.

This is a sacred temple worshipping Nang Phom Hom (meaning Fragrant Hair in Thai) - who had great merit in helping the Lam Son army to defeat the Ming invaders. For the Muong Choong people, Nang Phom Hom is the embodiment of the beauty of a Thai girl, a symbol of the crystallization of solidarity between the ethnic communities of Western Nghe An.
