Edison Cavani opened the scoring for PSG in the sixth minute after an assist from Ibrahimovic. The visitors Lorient equalized in the first half thanks to Raphael Guerreiro.

In the second half, PSG quickly restored order with two goals from Ibrahimovic and Lavyin Kurzawa.

The win over Lorient extended PSG's unbeaten run in Ligue 1 to 33 games, stretching back to last season. This is a new unbeaten record in France's top flight, surpassing Nantes' record of 32 consecutive games set in the 1994-1995 season.

The last time PSG were defeated in Ligue I was almost a year ago, in March 2015 at Bordeaux.

In addition to maintaining their unbeaten record, PSG also increased the gap with second-placed Monaco to 24 points, equivalent to eight wins. Meanwhile, this year's season has only 14 rounds left and no one doubts that PSG will successfully defend the championship.

Coach Laurent Blanc's team are fighting on all four fronts this season. PSG have reached the League Cup final against Lille, the French Cup round of 16 against Lyon and the Champions League round of 16 against Chelsea.
