Highlights

(Baonghean) -Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce is one of 40 schools approved by the Government for the “Project on developing high-quality vocational schools by 2020”. This is an honor, recognizing the efforts of staff, teachers and students under the direction and correct training orientation of the school’s Party Committee.

1. Development orientation of the School in the period 2015 - 2020 and the following years:

- Focus all resources to effectively implement the 6 criteria of high-quality vocational schools according to Decision 761 dated May 23, 2014 of the Prime Minister.

- Striving to develop into a university training practical engineers (phase 2018 - 2020).

2. Staff:

Increase in quantity and quality: When established, there were only 5 employees, now there are 181 employees. Of which, there are 4 PhDs; nearly 80% have postgraduate degrees, artisans and experts; 100% of teachers meet the prescribed standards; over 60% of teachers have qualifications in: Information Technology, Foreign Languages ​​(level B); Political Theory (Intermediate); State management of education and training and vocational training management or higher...

3. Regarding enrollment, training and scientific research:

- Average enrollment for 5 years (2010 - 2015): 104% of the plan (2015 - 2016: 101.1%)

- Multi-disciplinary, multi-professional training in many ways to suit learners' needs and social requirements (Training at school facilities; during and outside office hours; at affiliated facilities; at businesses according to orders...).

- Of the 17 training occupations, the school is assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to train 2 international-level occupations and 1 ASEAN-level occupation.

- Implemented 10 scientific research topics at all levels (1 provincial level topic, 9 school-level topics and experience initiatives) that were effectively applied in practice.

4. Training associated with job creation:

- Closely cooperate with more than 70 domestic and foreign enterprises to introduce jobs for students after graduation, and even during internship (from the 2nd year onwards);

- On average, every year, over 80% of students are introduced to jobs after graduation: With stable jobs and incomes (especially students majoring in Tourism - Hotel with a rate of nearly 100%); total: 1,000 people (700 domestic, 300 foreign).

- In particular, the school's training quality has reached and affirmed the requirements of developed countries (Singapore, Korea, Japan, Macau).

5. Facilities and equipment:

Currently, the school has 3 modern facilities with an area of ​​over 8 hectares, worth nearly 1,000 billion VND, including: Synchronized teaching and practical learning systems for culinary arts; tourism, desk - room - bar - hotel reception; Information Technology; Foreign languages ​​(ASEAN and European standards). Lecture hall system, electronic library (the largest and most modern in the Central region); outdoor learning stage; student shuttle system for practical training. Closed dormitory system, fully equipped for more than 2,000 boarding students (free equipment, water purifier, wifi...).

6. Outstanding achievements and awards:

• School Group:

15 consecutive years of excellent performance. The school has been awarded:

3 Labor Medals (First, Second and Third Class), 5 Emulation Flags for leading units; 30 Certificates of Merit from the Government and all levels.

3 times ranked first overall at the Provincial Vocational Teachers' Conference.

One of 40 vocational schools with key investment nationwide according to Decision 761/2014 of the Prime Minister. One of 25 schools out of 40 schools assigned to train 12 pilot occupations at international level.
