In Nghia Dung commune, Tan Ky, Kieu Phuong Company Limited has recently invested in an Australian cow farm on the mountain to avoid pollution of the rural environment and ensure a temperate climate for the cows. The farm was invested 19 billion VND, of which 12 billion VND was for breeding cows and 7 billion VND for the farm, factory, and premises. From Ho Chi Minh road to the farm, going deep into the mountain and gradually increasing in altitude, Kieu Phuong Company Limited has invested in a fairly large road to bring the cows up. The farm has 10 factories divided into compartments to raise cows. Currently, the cows have given birth to nearly 200 more cows, of which more than half are 3-5 month old cows, the rest are newborn cows. According to the farm owner, the Australian cows' food is corn and straw, currently the cows eat more than 15 million VND worth of corn every day.

The farm currently has 6 workers taking care of the cows, has a workshop for cooking and a place to park trucks and cars. Mr. To Anh Phuong shared: I have experienced many jobs, as a son of Tan Ky, I realize that Tan Ky's land and resources are very diverse and potential. With a large area of ​​contracted forest, and raw materials that are ready for harvest, I switched to raising black chickens and Australian cows to diversify and exploit the potential of the farm in the forest, while creating more jobs for local workers. Currently, the Australian cow farm is mainly formed from loans, but if raised well, it will be effective in the next year because a breeding cow will sell for 40 million VND, while the cost of raising a mother cow from birth to sale is about 20 million VND. Moreover, Australian beef is very delicious and famous, the herd will provide breeding cows in and outside the province to create a source of quality beef.

Mr. Phuong's farm in Tan Ky has opened a bold new direction in Tan Ky, is an address for implementing the application of science and technology and a place for people to learn about new methods and new breeds. Currently, the farm is also receiving attention from the People's Committee of Tan Ky district and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Also located next to Ho Chi Minh road in Tan Ky district, Hoang Nguyen Company Limited has also invested in a fairly modern roofing tile and Cotto brick factory, with a capacity of 22 million tiles and 2 million m2 of Cotto tiles / year, opening up new prospects for Tan Ky. When we arrived in the first days of the new year, the factory was under construction at full speed to be ready for production in the second quarter of 2016. The factory has an area of ​​6 hectares, with a total estimated investment of 150 billion VND, applying new technology to minimize environmental pollution.

Raw materials for the factory will be taken from Nghia Dong, Ky Son of Tan Ky district, the water source for the factory is taken from Khe Su. Mr. Hoang Duc Chau, Director of the Company, said the reason why the factory is located on the mountainside is that Tan Ky is very drought-prone, but there is Khe Su water source here, which will serve the production of bricks and tiles, besides that, there is an abundant source of clay in Nghia Dong, the area is also on Ho Chi Minh road, so it is convenient for the circulation of goods from the South to the North. The factory will create jobs for 150 local workers when it comes into operation and the factory is trying to speed up the progress. "The leaders of Tan Ky district have requested the relevant functional branches and commune authorities to focus on propaganda work, creating consensus to support investors and at the same time creating all favorable conditions for investors in all project procedures.

Production of fish oil for export at Suri Dien Chau fishmeal factory

A pioneering factory in seafood processing for the Dien Chau and Quynh Luu areas is the Suri fishmeal factory (Dien Chau). The factory invested by Dien Chau Seafood Import-Export Company has purchased and processed 20,000 tons of fresh fish every day from Nghe An and the provinces of Quang Binh, Thanh Hoa... to produce fishmeal and fish oil, mainly exported to China. Company Director Le Thai said that the factory creates jobs for more than 30 workers and contributes more than 1 billion VND to the budget each year. The factory's waste discharge system is being improved to minimize environmental pollution.

Another factory is also heading towards the countryside of Nghe An, that is Royal Foods Seafood Factory (Thailand). Although the factory is located in the Southeast Economic Zone, it purchases raw fish from the whole Central region and the whole country. The factory has a capacity of 9,150 tons/year of agricultural, aquatic and frozen meat; 2,700 tons/year of agricultural, aquatic and semi-processed meat. In addition, it also processes 6,000 tons/year of fish meal, 80,000,000 empty cans/year..... With rapid and drastic investment, this 100% foreign-owned factory has now gone into production.

Nghe An has a large land area with more than 1.2 million hectares of agricultural land, of which agricultural land is 256,834 hectares, forestry land with forest is 972,910 hectares, aquaculture land: 7,457 hectares and salt land is 1,000 hectares. This is the potential to develop agricultural and forestry production on a large scale, concentrated, creating raw material areas for the processing industry of products from long-term and short-term industrial crops, fruit trees and medicinal herbs, raising large livestock, poultry...

In the orientation of developing the main agricultural sectors, Nghe An is strongly developing dairy cows, crossbred cows, medicinal herbs, industrial tea, rubber, sugar cane, passion fruit, oranges... This also means that the above strengths are still eager to open up and waiting for new investors.

The Government has issued Decree No. 210 on policies to encourage businesses to invest in agriculture and rural areas, applying to investors to receive incentives and support when investing in agriculture and rural areas with quite broad policies. Including: exemption and reduction of land use fees, support for human resource training, market development, support of 50% of business advertising costs, 50% of costs for participating in exhibitions and fairs, support of 70% of costs for implementing research projects to create new technologies, support for investment in livestock breeding facilities, support of 40% of costs for importing original breeds, support for investment in building factories with costs up to tens of billions of VND... The policy takes effect from February 10, 2014.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee also issued Resolution No. 148/2014 on policies to encourage enterprises to invest in rural agriculture (effective from January 1, 2015) to support enterprises investing in rural agriculture.
