According to the Ministry of Finance, from the beginning of 2016 until now, gasoline and oil prices have continued to fluctuate downward: Ron 92 gasoline has been adjusted down 4 times, with a total decrease of 2,650 VND/liter (a decrease of about 16%); 0.05S diesel has been adjusted down 3 times, with a total decrease of 2,400 VND/liter (a decrease of about 20%).

In order to strengthen the management of fares according to the market mechanism under State management and stabilize general market prices, according to the authority of specialized management of transport, the Ministry of Finance requests the Ministry of Transport to direct the Department of Transport to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and relevant agencies to continue to strengthen the management of transport fares.

In particular, transport business units are required to review current fuel prices compared to fuel prices calculated in the previously declared fare plan to develop a price plan, re-declare transport fares in accordance with fuel price reduction fluctuations; closely coordinate in exchanging information on declared prices of transport units on the same fixed route to unify declared prices between the two ends of the route; strictly handle violations of regulations on freight management and transport business according to the provisions of law.

Requesting automobile transport associations to propagate and mobilize transport units in the area to declare and post fares according to regulations and ensure the principle of adjusting and reducing road transport fares according to market rules and in accordance with the reduction in input fuel prices; publicizing units that do not declare and reduce fares as required, so that competent authorities can handle them according to their authority./.
