Seized 1 ton of fake condoms

Hanoi authorities have just arrested 5 trucks carrying 150 tons of goods being transported to Ninh Hiep, Gia Lam for sale, showing signs of commercial fraud.

This is a shipment imported through Huu Nghi border gate (Lang Son), declared by New Spring Company Limited and Lang Son Import-Export Company Limited. During the inspection, the authorities discovered that more than 100 tons out of a total of 150 tons of goods passing through Huu Nghi border gate, although there were no invoices or documents, were still cleared through customs. Among them, many goods were made in China but printed on the products as being made in Japan and Korea.

In particular, there was 1 ton of counterfeit condoms. According to the owner's confession, the condoms were purchased and sold by weight to motels and hotels. The case is under further investigation.
