(Baonghean.vn) -The Yen Xuan House (Linh Son, Anh Son) is a two-story wooden house built in 1925. It was the location of the first Party branch of Anh Son district and Nghe An province during the 1930-1931 period. In 1988, the Yen Xuan House was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Monument by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). However, at present, the Yen Xuan House is completely dilapidated and over 90% has collapsed.
| The entrance gate and the embankment are the only structures that remain intact. |
| Inside the monument, only termite-infested wooden frames remain. The 5% of the remaining wood that can be reused consists of the wall panels of the second floor and some of the horizontal beams. |
| The monument has been restored many times, but its original state cannot be restored because, after nearly 100 years of use, the materials have deteriorated severely. |
| The school building has five main pillars that are completely damaged and unusable. Nearly 95% of the structure is unusable due to complete termite damage. |
| Fearing that the structure might collapse and endanger people's lives, the monument management board has put up signs prohibiting entry. |
| Mr. Cao Xuan Dao, the caretaker of the historical site, said: On October 20, 2015, the Management Board of Historical Sites and Scenic Spots of Nghe An province instructed the contractor to begin repairing and restoring the site. However, after two days of work, on October 22, 2015, the contractor was unable to continue construction and had to temporarily halt the project. The site remains in its current state to this day. |
| The artifacts from the temple were moved and stored in the village's cultural center. |
| The certificate recognizing the site as a national historical monument, awarded in 1988, has now faded with time. |
| The artifacts that remain, such as sewing machines, medicine cutters, and document boxes, some nearly 100 years old, can no longer be displayed in the historical site that once shone brightly. |
