Truck crashes into village gate, driver dies in cabin

(Baonghean.vn)- A sand truck forgot to lower the truck while passing through the village gate, causing the gate to collapse, crushing the driver in the cabin.

On the morning of February 28, Mr. Hoang Van Ha - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, said that an accident had just occurred in the area, causing 1 death.

Accordingly, at around 10am the same day, Mr. Nguyen Huu Ut (40 years old), residing in Vinh Thanh hamlet, Nam Thanh commune, drove a truck with license plate 37C-09116 to transport sand for a person in Lam Thanh hamlet (also in Nam Thanh commune). After dumping the sand, the truck drove to the village gate, but because he forgot to lower the jack, it got stuck in the gate, causing the broken concrete block to fall on the cabin. The incident caused Mr. Ut to die on the spot.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation by the police.
