On the afternoon of January 16, on National Highway 1A, passing through Bac Hong hamlet, Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau (Nghe An), a traffic accident occurred. At that time, the passenger bus with Lao license plate 8941 (driver's identity unknown) was carrying 15 passengers traveling in the North - South direction.

When arriving at the above location, the passenger bus asked to turn onto the road. When the bus had passed halfway, from behind a truck carrying construction materials with license plate: 37C-011.59 (driver's identity unknown) traveling in the same direction rushed forward and crashed into the left side of the passenger bus.

At the scene, two vehicles stuck together and were both damaged, causing traffic congestion. The truck assistant was thrown out and injured.

The accident fortunately only injured a few people on the bus, including a 3-year-old boy who suffered scratches on his head and face and was taken to the emergency room. At least 15 people on the bus were shocked.

After the collision, the drivers of both sides (the dump truck and the passenger bus) got into a scuffle and fought, injuring many people. Many people nearby came out to watch the incident, causing traffic chaos and congestion.

Only when the Dien Hong commune police arrived did the two sides of the bus stop fighting. The cause of the incident is currently being investigated by the authorities.

Earlier, at around 1:50 p.m., a small truck carrying instant noodles and rice was traveling on Highway 48, passing through Dien Doai Commune, Dien Chau District, when it suddenly flipped over into a rice field. The driver and the motorbike assistant were fortunately uninjured.
