A worker at Nam Can II Hydropower Plant drowned.

(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly a day of searching, authorities found the body of Phan Van Huy - the victim who drowned while bathing at the foot of the bridge near the Nam Can II Hydropower Plant - Ky Son.(Nghe An).

Previously, at around 5:00 p.m. on March 6, in the area near the Nam Can II Hydropower Plant bridge, in Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district, a worker of the plant drowned.

After nearly a day of searching, Huy's body was discovered about 200m from the scene of the incident.

According to Lang Vi Dong, a witness at the scene, at the time, Phan Van Huy (born in 1991, from Luc Da commune, Con Cuong district) and 3 other workers went swimming at the foot of the bridge near the Nam Can II Hydropower Plant. After about 15 minutes of swimming, Huy was not seen, so the other 2 people told everyone to look for him.

Immediately after the incident, authorities in Ta Ca commune urgently searched for the body of Mr. Phan Van Huy. However, the high water level of the lake made the search difficult. At 11:00 a.m. on April 7, authorities found the victim's body nearly 200 meters from the scene of the incident.

Currently, Huy's body was brought back to his hometown for burial by his family.
