Nghe An arrested 70 cases, 77 subjects buying, selling, storing, and using firecrackers during Tet

(Baonghean.vn) - On February 13 (the 6th day of Tet), Nghe An Provincial Police held a meeting on the security and order situation for the 8 days of the Binh Than Lunar New Year (from the 28th to the 6th day of Tet).

Thanks to the proactive implementation of many synchronous and drastic solutions by the police force and the attention of local Party committees and authorities, security and order during the 8 days of the Lunar New Year 2016 in the province were stable.

Nghe An Provincial Police leaders instructed units to continue ensuring security and order for the 2016 spring festivals.

During the 8 days of Tet, the police force investigated and clarified 11/15 social order crimes, arrested 12 subjects; arrested 6 cases, 46 gambling subjects, collected nearly 50 million VND; mobilized people to surrender, arrested 08 wanted subjects, including 2 especially dangerous subjects.

The fight against violations of firecrackers was carried out vigorously with 70 cases, 77 subjects buying, selling, transporting, storing, and using firecrackers discovered and arrested; nearly 30kg of various types of firecrackers were seized...

With the determination and efforts of the police force, the traffic accident situation in Nghe An province during the Lunar New Year holidays has been controlled and reduced in all three criteria; the illegal firecracker situation on New Year's Eve has been controlled and limited.

Determining that after the Lunar New Year, the holiday is still long, and there are many festivals taking place in the whole province, the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police Department instructed the Police of districts, cities and towns to strengthen the work of grasping the situation, proactively preventing, attacking and suppressing all types of crimes, ensuring security and order for the spring festivals of 2016.
