Start introducing candidates for National Assembly deputies
The introduction of candidates for National Assembly deputies by central agencies, organizations and units will be conducted from February 24 to March 10, in 3 steps.
On February 24, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a conference to guide the process of introducing candidates for National Assembly deputies for central agencies, organizations and units.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Pha said that the introduction of candidates for National Assembly deputies by agencies will be carried out from February 24 to March 10, in 3 steps. Step 1, the agency's leadership meets to plan the candidate to be introduced as a candidate for National Assembly deputies. Central agencies only introduce one person, not necessarily the head but can be the deputy or a representative representative of that organization (Party and State agencies mostly introduce the head).

Step 2: Organize a conference to collect voters' opinions at agencies, organizations, and units on the candidate proposed for nomination. Where there are less than 100 voters, a plenary conference is held, but must ensure that 2/3 of the people attend. Where there are more than 100 voters, a representative voter conference is held, but must ensure that 70 people attend.
The final step is based on the comments and trust at the conference of voters at the workplace, the agency's leadership organizes an expanded conference to discuss and introduce candidates for the National Assembly. Based on the results of the expanded leadership conference, the person selected to be nominated as a candidate for the National Assembly will be guided to complete the application form according to regulations.
The candidate's application must include a declaration of assets. Mr. Pha informed that anyone who has declared issues related to themselves, including assets, must be responsible for that declaration. "It's not that once the declaration is finished, it's over, but the declaration will follow that person until the end of his term, so he must be legally responsible for the content of that declaration. If there is a complaint or denunciation from a voter about that person, the Front will request verification according to legal procedures," said Mr. Pha.
