Press conference to organize the art program "Nghe An - Affectionate Land"

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 12, the Provincial Red Cross Society held a press conference about organizing the art program "Nghe An Tinh" to raise funds to support people in the Central region, Central Highlands and Mekong Delta to overcome the consequences of drought and saltwater intrusion.

In recent times, drought and saltwater intrusion have occurred seriously on a large scale; directly affecting the lives of millions of people in 43/63 provinces in the Central region, Central Highlands and Mekong Delta. The amount of money needed to respond to the emergency and medium-term phases is up to more than 67 billion USD and there have been many urgent solutions to support people to stabilize their lives.

Responding to the call of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society "On supporting people in the Central region, the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta to overcome the consequences of drought and saltwater intrusion in 2016" and approved by the Provincial People's Committee: On the evening of April 22, the Provincial Red Cross Society will organize the art performance program "Nghe An Tinh" at the Provincial Labor Culture House to raise funds to support people in the drought and saltwater intrusion areas.

All proceeds from the program “Nghe An Tinh”, through ticket sales and sponsorship from individuals, organizations and businesses, will be used to organize the program and transfer to support people in the Central provinces, the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta to overcome the consequences of drought and saltwater intrusion.
